Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
