Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
