And says man: What! when I am dead shall I truly be brought forth alive? 66 Does man not remember that We created him before when he was nothing? 67 And, by thy Lord, verily We shall assemble them and the devils, then We shall bring them, crouching, around hell. 68 Then We shall pluck out from every sect whichever of them was most stubborn in rebellion to the Beneficent. 69 We know best who deserve to be burnt in (the Fire). 70 And there is not one of you but shall come to it; this is an unavoidable decree of your Lord. 71 Then We shall rescue those who kept from evil, and leave the evil-doers crouching there. 72 When Our lucid revelations are read out to them, the infidels say to those who believe: "Which of the two groups is better in standing, and whose company is more excellent?" 73 And how many of the generations have We destroyed before them who were better in respect of goods and outward appearance! 74 Say, "The Gracious One grants respite for a time to those who are in error until, when they are confronted with what they are promised, either in punishment [in the world] or in [the approach of] the Hour, they will realize who is worse in respect of position and who is weaker in resources." 75 And God shall increase those who were guided in guidance; and the abiding things, the deeds of righteousness, are better with thy Lord in reward, and better in return 76 Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?" 77 Has he gained knowledge of the Unseen? Or taken a covenant with the Merciful? 78 Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall add and add to his punishment. 79 And We will inherit of him what he says, and he shall come to Us alone. 80 They have taken other gods apart from God that they might be a strength to them. 81 Never. They will deny their devotion and become their adversaries. 82
