(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
