Say: 'I am only a warner. There is not any god but God, the One, the Omnipotent, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: It is tremendous tidings 67 from which you turn away. 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 after I have shaped him and breathed of My spirit (I created) into him, fall down prostrate before him' 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them: 73 Not so lblis. He grew stiffnecked and became of the infidels. 74 Said (God): "O Iblis, what hindered you from adoring what I created by My own authority? Are you too proud, or too high and mighty?" 75 (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay." 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 He said, “My Lord! Therefore give me respite till the day when all will be raised.” 79 (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted thee- 80 for an appointed time". 81 He (satan) said: 'I swear by Your Might, that I will seduce all of them 82 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 83 (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 "And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while." 88
