Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
