Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
Almighty God's Truth.
