So did you observe him who turned away? 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
