Samood rejected the warning. 23 And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness. 24 Has the reminder been made to light upon him from among us? Nay! he is an insolent liar! 25 'They shall surely know tomorrow who is the impudent liar. 26 Verily, We are sending the she-camel as a test for them. So watch them [O Salih (Saleh)], and be patient! 27 And tell them that the water is to be divided between them: Each one's right to drink being brought forward (by suitable turns). 28 But they called their companion, so he took (the sword) and slew (her). 29 How (great) was then My punishment and My warning! 30 Verily, We sent against them a single Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.), and they became like the dry stubble of a fold-builder. 31 Indeed, We have made the Quran easy to learn lessons from. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 32 The people of Lut treated the warning. as a lie. 33 We sent against them a violent Tornado with showers of stones, (which destroyed them), except Lut's household: them We delivered by early Dawn,- 34 as a blessing from Us: this is how We reward the thankful. 35 Lot warned them of Our punishment, but they disputed the warnings -- 36 They demanded that he turn over his guests to them. We struck their faces, blinded them and said, "Suffer Our torment of which you were warned". 37 And assuredly there met them early in the morning a torment settled. 38 "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings." 39 And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
