To the People of Pharaoh, too, aforetime, came Warners (from Allah). 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 The hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 BEHOLD, everything have We created in due measure and proportion; 49 And Our commandment is but one (commandment), as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We destroyed many people like you (disbelievers) but is there anyone who would take heed (of Our warning)? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Indeed, the cautious shall live amid gardens and a river, 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
