But [let them always remember that] if We lengthen a human being's days, We also cause him to decline in his powers [when he grows old]: will they not, then, use their reason? 68 We have not taught (Muhammad) to versify, nor is it worthy of him. This is nothing but a reminder and illuminating discourse, 69 To warn the living*, and to prove the Word against disbelievers. (Only the believers are deemed alive in Allah’s sight.) 70 Have they not seen what We have created from the labor of Our own hands? We have given them cattle. 71 And We have subdued them unto them so that some of them they have for riding and some they eat. 72 some for milk to drink and some from which other benefits may be received? Will they not be grateful? 73 And take other gods apart from God that they may perhaps give them help. 74 They cannot help them, but they will be brought forward as a troop against those who worshipped them (at the time of Reckoning). 75 Therefore let not their speech grieve you; surely We know what they do in secret and what they do openly. 76 Has the human not seen how We created him from a drop (of sperm)? Yet he is a clear opponent. 77 And he propoundeth for us a similitude, and forgetteth his creation; he saith: who shall quicken the bones when they are decayed? 78 (Muhammad), tell him, "He who gave them life in the first place will bring them back to life again. He has the best knowledge of all creatures. 79 “The One Who has created for you fire from the green tree, so you kindle from it.” 80 Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like of them? Yea! and He is the Creator (of all), the Knower. 81 When He wills a thing, His command is to say to it 'Be', and it is! 82 So glory to Him in Whose hands is the dominion of all things: and to Him will ye be all brought back. 83
