The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created the human 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates); 11 And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
