The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He has created man: 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
