The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He created the human being 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 16 He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
