In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 – and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence – 2 abasing, exalting, 3 This will happen when the earth is shaken, shaken 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell). 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 and the flesh of birds, as they desire. 21 And companions with big beautiful eyes 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 29 In shade long-extended, 30 And water everflowing. 31 and abundant fruits, 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 And on couches or thrones, raised high. 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 And made them virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
