96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 abasing, exalting, 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 And ye are classes three. 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 a large group of the early believers, 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 And [with them will be their] companions pure, most beautiful of eye, 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 And those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 27 They shall recline on high amidst lote trees without thorns 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 And shade extended 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 and abundant fruit, 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 on raised couches. 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 All this will be for the People on the Right; 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
