▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the positions of the stars – 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 and you are watching at that time 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 If he is among the near 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.
