▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
