۞ Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
