Mutual Blaming (Al-Taghaabun)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah; to Him belongs the kingdom, and to Him is due (all) praise, and He has power over all things. 1 He it is Who created you, but one of you is a disbeliever and one of you is a believer, and Allah is Seer of what ye do. 2 He created the heavens and the earth with the truth, and He shaped you, and shaped you well; and unto Him is the homecoming. 3 He knows what is within the heavens and earth and knows what you conceal and what you declare. And Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts. 4 Has the news of the unbelievers of the past not reached you? (They disbelieved) and then tasted its evil consequence. A grievous chastisement awaits them. 5 That was because there came to them their Messengers with clear proofs (signs), but they said: "Shall mere men guide us?" So they disbelieved and turned away (from the truth), and Allah was not in need (of them). And Allah is Rich (Free of all wants), Worthy of all praise. 6 The Unbelievers think that they will not be raised up (for Judgment). Say: "Yea, By my Lord, Ye shall surely be raised up: then shall ye be told (the truth) of all that ye did. And that is easy for Allah." 7 So believe in Allah and in His Messenger and in the Light that We have sent down. Allah is fully aware of what you do. 8 [Think of] the time when He shall gather you all together unto the Day of the [Last] Gathering - that Day of Loss and Gain! For, as for him who shall have believed in God and done what is just and right, He will [on that Day] efface his bad deeds, and will admit him into gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide beyond the count of time: that will be a triumph supreme! 9 As for those who disbelieved and gave the lie to Our Signs: they shall be the inmates of the Fire, and will abide in it. That is a woeful resort! 10
