Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things. 1 He who has created death as well as life, so that He might put you to a test [and thus show] which of you is best in conduct, and [make you realize that] He alone is almighty, truly forgiving. 2 Who has created the seven heavens one above another, you can see no fault in the creations of the Most Beneficent. Then look again: "Can you see any rifts?" 3 Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall come back to you confused while it is fatigued. 4 We have adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and We made them a stoning for the satans, We have prepared the punishment of the Blaze for them. 5 And for those who disbelieved in their Lord is the punishment of Hell, and wretched is the destination. 6 When they are flung therein they hear its roaring as it boileth up, 7 It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?" 8 They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, 'Allah never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'" 9 And they will say, “Had we listened or understood, we would not have been among the people of hell.” 10 They will confess to their sins, but the dwellers of hell will be far away from God's (mercy). 11 As for those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward. 12 And whether you speak softly or proclaim it aloud; He indeed knows what lies within the hearts! 13 Should He not know,- He that created? and He is the One that understands the finest mysteries (and) is well-acquainted (with them). 14
