For those who fear God there are pleasure gardens with their Lord. 34 What, shall we make those who have surrendered like to the sinners? 35 What ails you? How ill you judge! 36 Or have you, perchance, a [special] divine writ which you study, 37 That you shall have all that you choose? 38 Or you have oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection that yours will be what you judge. 39 Ask them: “Which of them can guarantee that? 40 Have they associate gods? Then let them produce their associate gods if they say sooth! 41 Remember the Day whereon the shank shall be bared and they shall be called upon to Prostrate themselves, but they shall not be able. 42 Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused). 43 Then leave Me Alone with such as belie this Quran. We shall punish them gradually from directions they perceive not. 44 A (long) respite will I grant them: truly powerful is My Plan. 45 Do you demand some recompense from them that would weigh them down with debt? 46 Or that they possess the hidden, so they are writing it? 47 So be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord, and be not as the Man of the Fish, when he called, choking inwardly. 48 Were it not for his Lord’s favour that reached him, he would have surely been cast onto the desolate land, reproached. 49 But his Lord had chosen him, and He placed him among the righteous. 50 And indeed the disbelievers seem as if they would topple you with their evil gaze when they hear the Qur’an, and they say, “He is indeed insane.” 51 although this is nothing but an Exhortation (to goodness) for everyone in the world. 52
