Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Reality! 1 How awesome that laying-bare of the truth! 2 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? 3 The tribes of Thamud and 'Aad belied the Striking Day. 4 the Thamud were destroyed by a terrible storm of thunder and lightning; 5 And as for 'Aad they were destroyed by a wind, furious, roaring. 6 He forced it upon them with strength, consecutively for seven nights and eight days – so you would see those people overthrown in it, like trunks of date palms fallen down. 7 Then do you see of them any remains? 8 And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin. 9 and they rebelled against the Messenger of their Lord, and He seized them with a surpassing grip. 10 Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship 11 so that We might make it a reminder for you and so that attentive ears might retain it. 12 And when the trumpet is blown with a single blast, 13 And the earth and the mountains shall be borne and the twain shall be crushed with a single crash. 14 Then on that Day shall the (Great) Event befall, 15 and heaven shall be split, for upon that day it shall be very frail, 16 And the angels will be on its sides; and on that day, eight angels will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 The Day whereon ye shall be mustered nothing hidden by you shall be hidden. 18 On that Day, he whose Record is given to him in his right hand will say: “Lo! Read my Record! 19 I was certain I'll be given my account." 20 So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing. 21 In a Garden on high, 22 The fruit clusters of which are hanging down. 23 'Eat and drink with wholesome appetite for that you did long ago, in the days gone by.' 24 But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record! 25 "And that I had never known, how my Account is? 26 I wish my death had been the decisive one. 27 My wealth has not helped me a thing 28 and our belief has destroyed us". 29 Seize him and fetter him, 30 Roast him in Hell, 31 “Then bind him inside a chain which is seventy arm-lengths.” 32 they did not believe in the great God, 33 nor would he urge the feeding of the poor. 34 Wherefore for him here this Day there is no friend. 35 and the only food he has is filth 36 Which none but sinners eat. 37
