Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Reality! 1 What is the Inevitable? 2 And what do you know what that indubitable event is? 3 Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]! 4 So destroyed were the Thamud by a storm of thunder and lightning; 5 And as for A’ad, they were destroyed by a severe thundering windstorm. 6 which He willed against them for seven nights and eight days without cease, so that in the end thou couldst see those people laid low [in death,] as though they were so many [uprooted] trunks of hollow palm trees: 7 Can you see any remnant of them now? 8 Pharaoh and those before him and the people of the overturned habitations all engaged in the same great sin. 9 And they disobeyed their Lord's apostle, so He laid hold of them with a grip increasing. 10 Verily! When the water rose beyond its limits [Nuh's (Noah) Flood], We carried you (mankind) in the floating [ship that was constructed by Nuh (Noah)]. 11 That We might make it unto you an admonition, and that it might be retained by the retaining ears. 12 So, when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing, 14 So that is the day when the forthcoming event will occur. 15 And the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail. 16 On its fringes will be angels, eight of them, bearing their Lord's throne aloft. 17 You will then be set before Him, and not one of you will remain unexposed. 18 Then, he who is given his book in his right hand will say: 'Here, take and read my book! 19 "I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!" 20 And he will be in a life of Bliss, 21 in a lofty garden, 22 Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. 23 (It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of what you did in days long passed' 24 But whosoever gets his ledger in his left hand, will say: "Would that I were never given my ledger, 25 “And had never come to know my account!” 26 Oh, would that it had been death! 27 Of no use was even my wealth. 28 "My power and arguments (to defend myself) have gone from me!" 29 "Seize him and manacle him, 30 Then cast him to be burnt in Hell; 31 then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him! 32 He would not believe in Allah, the Most Great; 33 Nor did he urge the feeding of the poor. 34 On this day, they will have no friends 35 and no food except pus 36 which no one will eat except the sinners. 37
