Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 What is the Sure Reality? 2 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is! 3 Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]! 4 So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast]. 5 and as for Ad, they were destroyed by a wind clamorous, 6 violent that He compelled against them seven nights and eight days, uninterruptedly, and thou mightest see the people laid prostrate in it as if they were the stumps of fallen down palm-trees. 7 and dost thou now see any remnant of them? 8 And Firaun, and those before him, and the dwellings that were inverted and thrown, had brought error. 9 And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty. 10 We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark), 11 That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance. 12 Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet, 13 the earth and mountains will be raised up high and crushed all together. 14 Then on that Day shall happen the Event. 15 And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm. 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Take, read my Record! 19 Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account." 20 Then he shall be in a life well-pleasing 21 In high empyrean 22 Clusters whereof shall be near at hand. 23 [And all who are thus blest will be told:] "Eat and drink with good cheer in return for all [the good deeds] that you have sent ahead in days gone by!" 24 But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he shall say, 'Would that I had not been given my book 25 and had not known my account. 26 Oh, would that it had been death! 27 Of no use was even my wealth. 28 Gone from me is my authority." 29 (The stern command will say): "Seize ye him, and bind ye him, 30 then throw them into hell to be heated up therein. 31 "Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!" 32 He would not believe in Allah, the Most Great; 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 Today he shall have no loyal friend here, 35 Nor any food except refuse, 36 None will eat it except the sinners. 37
