WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 on the right and on the left in groups? 37 Does every man of them desire that he should be made to enter the garden of bliss? 38 Not so; for We have created them of what they know. 39 Now I do call to witness the Lord of all points in the East and the West that We can certainly- 40 to replace them with others better than them: nothing can prevent Us from doing this, 41 So leave them to their vain disputes and amusement till they meet their day (of reckoning) promised them, 42 the Day when they shall rush from their graves, as if they were hurrying to a raised flag, 43 Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. That is the Day which they had been promised. 44
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej). Sent down in Mecca after Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah) before The News (Al-Naba')
