Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qur'an). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital! 1 "which guides to the Right Way; so we have come to believe in it, and we will not associate aught with Our Lord in His Divinity”; 2 for [we know] that sublimely exalted is our Sustainer's majesty: no consort has He ever taken unto Himself, nor a son! 3 And the foolish among us were wont to forge lies against Allah exceedingly. 4 and we had thought that men and jinn would never speak against God a lie. 5 And that persons from among men used to seek refuge with persons from among jinn, so they increased them in wrongdoing: 6 and they thought, even as you also thought, that God would never raise up anyone. 7 ‘And we reached the sky, so we found it strongly guarded and filled with comets.’ 8 And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him. 9 And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth guidance for them. 10 And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules. 11 And we know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 Now that we have listened to the guidance, we believe in it. Whoever believes in his Lord does not need to fear loss or oppression. 13 'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allah, after listening to this Quran), and of us some are Al-Qasitun (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islam (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allah), then such have sought the Right Path." 14 but those who are wrongdoers will become the fuel of Hell." 15 And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision 16 In order to try them through it. But whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, will be given increasing torment by Him." 17 And the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allah. 18 And that when the servant of Allah stood up calling upon Him, they wellnigh crowded him (to death). 19
