28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I have received the divine revelation that some jinns attentively listened to my recitation, so they said, ‘We have heard a unique Qur’an.’ 1 'It gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord. 2 And that He-- exalted be the majesty of our Lord-- has not taken a consort, nor a son: 3 Certainly the foolish among us say preposterous things of God. 4 ‘Whereas we thought that men and jinns would never fabricate a lie against Allah!’ 5 'True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly. 6 'And they thought as you thought, that Allah will not send any Messenger (to mankind or jinns). 7 We sought to pry into the secrets of the heavens, but found it full of fierce guards and shooting flames. 8 We would sit there on seats to hear; but any listening now finds a meteor in wait for him. 9 And we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course. 10 And that some of us are good and others of us are below that: we are sects following different ways: 11 And that we know that we cannot escape Allah in the earth, nor can we escape Him by flight: 12 Now that we have listened to the guidance, we believe in it. Whoever believes in his Lord does not need to fear loss or oppression. 13 'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allah, after listening to this Quran), and of us some are Al-Qasitun (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islam (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allah), then such have sought the Right Path." 14 but those who have deviated shall become the fuel of Gehenna (Hell). 15 If they had followed the Path We would give to them abundant water to drink, 16 ‘In order to test them with it; and whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord – He will put him in a punishment that keeps on increasing.’ 17 The places of worship belong to God; so call not, along with God, upon anyone. 18 And that when the Servant of Allah stood up supplicating Him, they almost became about him a compacted mass." 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
