Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 As a warning unto men, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until death approached us". 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 running away from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
