By the moon, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 A warning for people -- 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
