No, by the moon! 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 it is a warning to man, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens they will question 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
