NAY, but consider the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning unto humankind 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
