Nay, by the Moon 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to humans, 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 who will be in Paradise 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
