Nay, by the Moon 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 As a warning unto men, 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 running away from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
