Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
