Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
