Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
