Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 and the severally severing 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
