In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
