Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the loosed ones successively 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
