Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 separating one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 As justification or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
