Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
