Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
