Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
