Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known term? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
