Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 That is how We reward the good. 21 For a known extent. 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 And those that revive by quickening, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 The heavens split asunder, 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
