Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 excusing or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
