Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
