Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
