The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 While eyes are downcast 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 you pay attention 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
